About
LaVern LaVern was born in Western Kentucky. The middle kid of three, her folks, Larry and Clarene Wilson still reside on the family farm in Boaz, Kentucky. LaVern spent three years at Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson Tennessee before heading to Nashville in 1983. Following a year at David Lipscomb University she began working with WLAC. After being a huge pest the Program Director finally gave her a shot on the air on Christmas Day 1984. A short time later, with no one else to do traffic she became U-Turn LaVern. LaVern met her husband Mark Vivio in 1987 and they married in 1988. They live in Tennessee with their 4 children, Caleb, Jeremiah, Jedediah and Elijah.
